ABVP demands revocation of FIR filed against Army personnel

JAMMU, FEB 3: Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Jammu has appealed the government to roll-back the FIR filed against the Indian Army after the Shopian incident.
Addressing a press conference here today, ABVP’s zonal organising secretary for Union Territories Vikrant Khanderwal highlighted the role of ABVP in nation building. He said that in present time when the matter of nationalism and patriotism was required to be infused amongst the students, the filing of FIR against the Indian Army came as a jolt to the patriotic spirit of the Indian Army.
The students also took out a protest march from Arya Samaj Mandir, Gandhi Nagar, demanding revocation of FIR filed against the Indian Army, which culminated at Gole Market Chowk. A resolution to this effect was also passed by the students namely Piyush Khajuria,Vishal Bhagat,Vikash Sharma,Tanvir Kour, Shruti Deepak Gupta, State Secretary, ABVP J&K, which shall be submitted to the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.
The student leaders, who spoke on the occasion included Sonali Vaid, Sairam, Rankaj Sharma, Anubhav Sharma, Vidash Delmotra and Deepak Gupta.
