SRINAGAR, JAN 28: The first round of Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) programme-2018 was held across the Kashmir Division during which thousands of children under the age of five years were administered vaccines to prevent them from crippling polio disease.
At Srinagar, Deputy Commissioner Dr Syed Abid Rasheed Shah launched the Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization programme in the district in which children up to the age of 5 are being administered poliomyelitis vaccines. At Baramulla, District Development Commissioner, Dr Nassir Ahmad Naqash accompanied by CMO Baramulla, Dr Bashir Ahmad Chalkoo inaugurated the pulse polio immunization drive by administering oral polio vaccine to a newborn baby at the District Hospital here.
At Anantnag, Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik inaugurated the anti-polio drive at Maternity and Child Care Hospital (MCCH) here. At Kulgam, Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Talat Parvaiz today inaugurated the IPPI programme by giving anti-polio vaccines to newly-born babies in District Hospital here.
At Budgam, The first phase of the anti-polio campaign was kicked-off by District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Harun Malik today at ASYM, District Hospital, by administering vaccines to children below five years-of-age along with Chief Medical Officer, Budgam, Medical Superintendent and other hospital staff.
