Army conducts medical camp at Saspol

LEH, JAN 20: In order to provide basic medical facilities to far-flung villages, a medical camp was organised at Saspol village by 175 Medium Regiment, under the aegis of 402 (I) Artillery Brigade of 14 Corps.
The camp offered free medicines to the patients, that too, at a time when Doctors were on strike in the district and also extended specialized medical consultancy in Gynaecology, orthopaedics, dental and general medicines related to high altitude related ailments.
The camp was inaugurated by Brig Brijesh Pandey. Officials from SBI were invited to the camp for addressing various issues of local populace related to banking. An Ex-servicemen Cell was also established for the veterans of Saspol and nearby villages to provide solutions to the ex-service men on various issues related to entitlement as per 7th Pay Commission.
The event was attended by a large number of people. The villagers expressed their gratitude to the Armed Forces for conducting medical camp.
