Mir accuses PDP-BJP of failure, urges party cadres to gear up for Panchayat Polls

SRINAGAR JAN 13: Lashing out at ruling dispensation (PDP BJP) for failures on all counts, the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Chief, G.A. Mir has urged upon the cadres to take on PDP BJP exposing them for adopting double standards for the sake of power, saying that PDP is in habit of using different languages to mislead people to get benefitted politically. He said this while addressing a largely attended workers meeting here today.
Addressing the meeting, the JKPCC Chief hit out at PDP for changing colours like chameleon for the sake of power adding that this party even sacrificed its ideology and joined hands with communal and fascist forces for the sake of power, as a result of which people were feeling exploited and betrayed, with great anger brewing among the people.
He said PDP-BJP cannot escape the responsibility of damages caused to peace process as both the parties have exploited people for power, and are responsible for restlessness and mistrust among the people.
Urging party cadres to gear up for Panchayat Polls being conducted shortly, Mir said Congress Party is committed to strengthen the democratic institutions of the state, but at the same time he blamed the ruling dispensation for playing deceit over democratic process in the State, which has lost relevance under PDP-BJP rule. However he asserted that Congress Party will ensure that the authority of democratic institutions is not eroded, although the ruling dispensation has already done great damages.
The PCC Chief said people have had a bitter experience after witnessing what PDP has done in Kashmir and BJP in Jammu with both the parties working to strengthen themselves only rather than strengthening people. He alleged that corruption, nepotism, favouritism has become a hallmark of PDP, as a result, they (People) have no expectations of this Govt.
