JKSRTC wins 1-0 to enter QFs of Christmas Football

JAMMU, Jan 10: The Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation (JKSRTC) today made it to the quarterfinals of the ongoing 11th Christmas Gold Cup Football Tournament, organised by the All J&K Christian Welfare Association at GGM Science College ground, here.
The professional side of SRTC defeated Titan Sports Anantnag 1-0. Parvez Ahmed netted an important goal that came in the 31st minute of the game.
Meanwhile, in other match of the day, Churchill Football Club (FC) outplayed Engineers Football Club (FC) again by a solitary goal. Adonis Mattoo was the lone scorer, who netted the ball in the 38th minute of the match.
Today’s matches officiated by the technical penal including Suresh Gupta, Ricky Kumar, Vijay Kumar, Moon Stephen, Romesh Kumar, Sanjay Kumar and Dinesh.
Among those who witnessed the matches were Showkat, SM Gill, Sheikh Mehmood, David Masih, Feastus Sotra, Rajesh Kumar, Harbans Lal, Yousuf Don, Charan Dass, Narinder Gupta and Varinder Gupta.
FIXTURE: Vijay Club shall take on Kanwal Sports Anantnag at 1.30 pm while Young Hero’s shall meet Param FC at 3 pm tomorrow.
