JAMMU, JAN 8: To strengthen booth-level structure ahead of ensuing Panchayat elections in the State, BJP Mahila Morcha led by its State President, Purnima Sharma, held a meeting at party office, Kachi Chawani, which was attended by all the office bearers.
While addressing the meeting, Purnima Sharma informed that during recent visit of BJP National General Secretary (Org), Ram Lal to the State, the National leader precisely impressed on the view that each Booth President should be supported by at least five activists from Mahila Morcha which would definitely help in winning ensuing Panchayat elections. Purnima Sharma also sought detailed reports of various organizational and developmental programmes undertaken by Mahila Morcha leaders during last month. She discussed various measures for taking Morcha to new heights while working for the welfare of society in general and womenfolk in particular. She also prompted Morcha leaders to avoid cash transactions for giving a boost to cashless economy. She also presented details of forthcoming party programmes and asked the Morcha leaders to deliver their best in the same.
Morcha State General Secretary, Veenu Khanna, who carried proceedings of meeting, thanked all leaders for their constructive and active participation in the meeting. Ladies form 50% of the total population and their participation is essential in mainstream politics for true implementation of all welfare policies in society, she added.
