Pak fires unprovoked on LoC, Army retaliates

GJ Report Rajouri, Dec 21: After a brief lull Pakistan on Wednesday violated the ceasefire agreement on the Line of Control in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district. “Pakistan on Wednesday evening yet again violated the ceasefire by targeting forward posts on the LoC in Nowshera sector of Rajouri,” official sources here said. They said that the Pakistani troops violated the truce in Sher Makri and Namb villages by firing automatics, mortars and small arms at around 1715 hours and lasted till 1830 hours. “Own troops effectively retaliated to the firing with similar calibre,” they added and said that no injury or damage was reported in exchange of firing. Meanwhile district administration has reviewed the situation post fresh incidents of ceasefire violation.
