JKPSC declares KAS results

JAMMU, DEC 18: Thirty six candidates of Jammu province out of 51 have qualified the KAS Main examination as the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission today declared the result of the candidates who had appeared in the interview of Combined Competitive Examination 2014.
The candidates of the Jammu region, who have been facing neglect and step-motherly treatment for past many years, have for the first time, felt satisfied as they have been accorded adequate share.
According to official sources, 51 candidates, who have been selected, have to report to the Medical Boards for conduct of their Medical Examination in accordance with rules on the subject. The Medical Board, date and venue shall be notified separately.
In response to the advertisement issued by the J&K PSC, 20180 Application Forms were received and Preliminary Examination was conducted on August 30, 2015 in which 12,145 candidates appeared in the Examination.
As per the criteria fixed by the Commission, 1275 candidates were declared to have qualified for the mains examination on October 5, 2015. Out of these candidates, 1258 applied for appearing in the Main Examination and J&K Combined Competitive Service (Main) Examination, 2014 was conducted from February 11 to 27 this year both at Jammu and Srinagar but 938 candidates appeared in all papers, out of them 175 candidates were declared to have qualified for interview on October 10, 2017. The interview of the said candidates was conducted with effect from November 20 to December 6, 2017 and the result of 171 candidates, who had appeared in the interview at Jammu has been notified today.
It is pertinent to mention that General Administration Department issued a Communication on March 18, 2014 referring 51 posts to the J&K Public Service Commission for being filled up through the Combined Competitive Examination 2014, folllowing which the posts were advertised by the Commission vide a Notification on April 24, 2014.
All 51 candidates have to report to the Medical Boards for conduct of their Medical Examination in accordance with rules on the subject. The Medical Board, date and venue shall be notified separately.
Necessary intimation to the candidates for Medical Examination is being sent separately. Detailed marks cards shall be available on the website of the Commission after completion of the examination process and after forwarding the select list to the government for making appointments.
