Commitment, focus is ‘mantra’ to achieve the goal: KAS topper

Emroz Suri Rajouri: A young boy hailing from Surankote area of bordering Poonch district qualified prestigious KAS exam and attained number 1 rank the result of which was declared on Monday. Anjum Bashir Khan, son of Mohammad Bashir Khan, resident of Iqbal Nagar, Surankote, serving as government teacher attained first rank in open merit in Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services. Wave of happiness prevailed in Surankote area when the result was declared and the local boy came out with flying colours. Talking to Greater Jammu Anjum Bashir Khan said, “it was my dream since childhood to be a KAS Officer and I feel blessed that I have achieved my goal and cherished my dream.” The KAS topper however, credited his success to his parents and their blessings. Anjum after completing his higher school education from Surankote, went to BGSB University and pursued in Computer Engineering from 2008-2012 and then joined Education Department as teacher. “My parents are well educated and they acted as guiding force for me. They have played a major role in accomplishing my dream,” said Khan. The topper however, urged the youngsters to stay focused and chase their dream but without hard work and dedication, it cannot be accomplished. Besides Anjum, five more aspirants cleared KAS exam from Poonch district.
