Motor Transport Companies Association highlights demands

JAMMU, DEC 12: To highlight their burning demands, member of J&K Motor Transport Companies Association Jammu, led by its President, Gajan Singh Khajuria held a Press Conference here today.
While addressing media, Khajuria said that we have highlighted our demands numerous times, but nothing has been done by the Government for resolution of our issues. He appealed to the Chief Minister and other concerned authorities for taking necessary measures to fulfill genuine demands of the association.
Prominent demands highlighted on the occasion included releasing special package for transporters with old-vehicles, withdrawing unnecessary taxes, fees, penalties etc, shifting of fitness ground from Transport Nagar to Khanpur Nagrota, corruption-free Transport Department etc. On the occasion, the association also announced its newly elected office-bearers, which included Nanak Singh (Senior Member), Surinder Singh Kala (Chairman), Amrik Singh Reen, Darshan Singh, Ravinder Singh Kala, Kulwant Singh, Kultar Singh, Avtar Singh, Ashok Kumar, Kulwant Singh, Harpal Singh Prince, Zeenat Khan, Kartar Chand, Surjeet Singh Sudan, Madan Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Ramesh Chander Verma and Sher Singh (Members).
