JAMMU: Retired Superintendent of Police Prof Rishi Dogra on Monday joined National Conference here at a function in the presence of party President Dr Farooq Abdullah. Welcoming Dogra into the party fold, Dr Abdullah said that National Conference is a natural choice for all those who want to serve the people of Jammu and Kashmir and work for strengthening peace and tranquillity. He hoped that with his joining, National Conference will get further strengthened at the grass roots level and exhorted the party workers to fan out in their areas and help in mitigating the problems faced by the people by raising at appropriate forums. Dogra, who has also been Professor prior to his joining the police, said that he will serve as foot-soldier of the National Conference to carry forward the message of amity and brotherhood besides working for the poor. He said National Conference is the only party that can steer the state out of present morass under the dynamic leadership of Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah.
