ATCC highlight problems, seeks redressal

JAMMU, DEC 6: Talib Hussain was nominated as Chairman of All Tribal Coordination Committee (ATCC) which was recently formed by different organisations of nomad communities.
Nazakat Khatana was nominated as Vice Chairman, Anwar Phambra as Incharge, Rafaqat Ajaz as General Secretary, Gaftar Ahmed as Secretary, Haqnwaz Chowdhary and Ibrar Chowdhary as Media Incharge, Aslam Gorsi as Social Media Incharge and Imran Rashid & Jamat Ali as Cashiers.
While addressing a press conference, Chairman Talib Hussain condemned Gole Gujral incident and said that communal forces are trying to destroy identity, culture and ethnicity of tribals.
He said that Nomad communities are continuously demanding the resignation of Forest Minister Ch Lal Singh and holding CBI enquiry in the properties occupied by him. He warned the State government to take legal action against culprits.
ATCC will fight against communal forces and will work for the unity. He demanded creation of Forest Rights Act, job to one member of families residing in the area where AIIMS is going to be constructed, release of nomads booked under PSA in Samba and Kathua districts.
Vice Chairman ATCC Nazakat Khatana said that they will create awareness among the people regarding anti-poor of state government.
Incharge ATCC Anwar Phambra said that legislators belonging to Gujjar Bakarwal community are not supporting genuine cause to hide their embezzlements.
They appealed the Governor N N Vohra and Chief Minister Mehabooba Mufti to intervene in the matter.
