GJ REPORT JAMMU, NOV 25: Appreciating Jammu Police for affecting one of the biggest recoveries of narcotics besides arresting the smugglers, Chairman Team Jammu, Zorawar Singh Jamwal has termed narcotics as deadlier than explosives and demanded death sentence to drug smugglers. He said the recovery has vindicated Team Jammu’s repeated assertion that attempts were being made by the enemies to spread narco terrorism in the State and the yesterday’s recovery was a tip of the iceberg since more rackets are believed to be operating in the State, which need to be busted with a vigorous and continuous drives by the law enforcing agencies. Zorawar Singh Jamwal was addressing a meeting of Team Jammu, here today. The meeting of volunteers was called in the wake of major recovery of drugs and cash by Gandhi Nagar Police. During the meeting, the volunteers appealed to the police brass to direct the district heads to also exhibit similar types of surgical strikes in their respective jurisdictions to ensure the state as Drug free zone. Zorawar Singh Jamwal said that Team Jammu has been making continuous efforts to aware people, particularly youth against the dangers of narco terrorism, which is being abetted and sponsored by neighbouring Pakistan. Maintaining that seizure of 15.3 kg Heroin (Chitta) was more significant than RDX, Jamwal explained that the recovered narcotics was around 45 lakh doses of drugs, which means devastating life of 45 lakh youth of the State as well in rest of the entire country. He appealed the law makers to ensure stringent provisions, including death penalty against the narcotic smugglers. Zorawar Singh reiterated Team Jammu’s pledge to continue its mission against the narco terrorism and said that his volunteers were ready for extending all possible help to the law enforcing agencies as well as the other organizations working to make people aware against the menace.
