Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary B B Vyas headed team will visit to Ladakh next week to take stock of the implementation of various developmental and welfare programmes in Leh and Kargil Districts. “The team will also interact with Hill Development Councils and Defence authorities to address outstanding land issues such as transfer of Khurbathang plateau in Kargil,” official spokesman said here on Tuesday. Vyas here through a video conference with Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, DC Leh and DC Kargil, reviewed various issues relating to Ladakh region including winter preparedness. Various aspects of winter preparedness in Ladakh region including status of stock and supply of essential commodities, availability of electricity, status of road and air connectivity etc were discussed in the meeting. Chief Secretary also reviewed the implementation of Border Area Development Programme (BADP) in Leh and Kargil Districts and status of outstanding land issues in both the districts including vacation of land in Lower Khurbathang plateau by Army.
