Rajouri, Nov 16: Special DG CRPF, S N Shrivastava on Thursday said that Pakistan and anti-social elements are luring youth in Jammu and Kashmir with the help of social media and provoking them to join militancy.
“It is a fact that Pakistan is making use of social media to lure Kashmiri youth into militancy,” Shrivastava told reporters during his visit to Rajouri.
He was on a day long tour of bordering Rajouri and Poonch districts wherein he held Darbar and heard grievances of troops to boost their morale.
IG CRPF Jammu Zone A V Chouhan also accompanied the top officer.
Shrivastava further said that not only Pakistan using social media as a tool to lure youth but anti national elements are also doing the same and using technology in destruction.
He further added that security forces are keeping tab on such activities and said, “other security forces take climatic change (snowfall) as challenge but we prepare our strategies according to it to neutralize terror activities in the state.”
He however, also said that stone pelting incidents across the Valley have come down and it became possible due to the success of Operation ‘All Out’.
“We take Operation All Out as grand success and because of this, anti national activities across the state got badly hit,” said the DG.
During Darbar, Special DG CRPF also listened to the problems of Jawans and assures them of their timely redressal.
In Rajouri he also met DIG Rajouri Poonch Range DK Salathia, SSP Rajouri Yougal Manhas and other senior Civil Police and Army Officials to take stock of ground situation pertains to cross border firing and other anti national activities.
