‘Hope that J&K Political parties will be part of peace parleys’

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti on Monday expressed hope that the political parties of the state will surely be part of peace parleys.
Mufti’s remarks came against the backdrop of Centre Govt appointed interlocutor Dineshwar Sharma’s arrived in Kashmir on Monday on five day visit to the state.
“I am optimistic that parties and organisations in J&K will not miss this opportunity to be a part of peace parleys,” she wrote on Twitter.
She further wrote, “the hope of resolution via dialogue has been rekindled in J&K.”
The Centre has appointed former Intelligence Bureau director Dineshwar Sharma its special representative for talks with various stakeholders in an effort to ensure peace in Jammu and Kashmir.
