Four children injured as Pak shells forward villages in Poonch

Jammu, Oct 14: In yet another ceasefire violation, Pakistan shelled forward villages along the Line of Control in which four children got injured including one of them seriously in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Pakistani Army this evening at around 1945 hours initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics and mortars in Bhimber Gali sector along the Line of Control deliberately targeting villages of Basauni and Sandot in Balakote area in Poonch,” defence spokesman here said.
He said that unprovoked firing and condemnable action by Pakistani Army has caused serious injuries to the four civilians including minor children.
“Indian Army is retaliating strongly and effectively while the exchange of firing is still on,” he added.
The injured were identified as Tahira Naseeb,17, daughter of Mohammad Naseeb, Tariq Naseeb,15, son of Mohammad Naseeb, Rafia Naseeb,07, daughter of Mohamad Naseeb and Saqib Naseeb,5, son of Mohammad Naseeb.
Among injured, Tahira Naseeb is seriously injured while all of them are shifted to Primary Health Centre Dhargloon.
Yesterday also Pakistan violated the truce agreement by firing unprovoked in Poonch.
On October 12, a jawan and a porter attained martyrdom while six others got injured in cross border firing in KG sector of Poonch.
