6-week Entrepreneurship Skill Development programme commences

LEH, OCT 12: With an aim to help the potential entrepreneurs in having a road map to setup their own self employment ventures, a six-week Entrepreneurship Skill Development programme on “Computer Hardware and Networking” commenced at NIELIT Leh.
The programme has been organized by Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Development Institute Srinagar (J&K) in Association with Government Degree College (GDC) Leh.
More than 25 candidates are participating in the training which would conclude on November 17.
ADC Leh Moses Kunzang was the Chief Guest on the occasion. During this six week training, participants would be given training in different fields like Computer Hardware, Computer Software, Networking, Bio-Technology and Cosmetology.
Presenting the welcome address, Principal GDC Leh, Deskyong Namgyal said, the present era is the era of Computer and it is compulsory for the youth to have the knowledge of Computers.
He also stressed on complete attendance of the students during the training.
Project Manager talked about the role of DIC in entrepreneurship development.
He said, “We have to create job for others rather than to become a job seeker because DIC play a crucial role to pave a way for youth in becoming a perfect entrepreneurs. DIC helps in making perfect shape of the idea which was put by young entrepreneurs.”
He said, there is only 5 percent of investment by interested entrepreneurs and rest 95 percent is being invested by government under the scheme Prime Minister Employment Generation.
Addressing the gathering, ADC Leh Moses Kunzang said, the internet services will improve with the introduction of new OFC in November-December. To gain proper knowledge, proper attendance is necessary, he said.
While interacting with Greater Jammu, Assistant Director MSME, Saheel Alaqband said, the participants are being provided the knowledge of skills by the faculty members.
Professor Tashi Dawa of EJM College delivered vote of thanks. Controlling Officer NIELIT Leh, Phuntsog Toldan and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
