Soz condoles Dr Naseer’s demise

SRINAGAR, OCT 11: Former Union Minister Prof Saifuddin Soz has condoled the demise of veteran Physician and former Principal of Government Medical College, Srinagar, Dr Syed Naseer Ahmad Shah who passed away today at Srinagar.
Paying tributes to late Dr Naseer, Prof Soz said Dr Naseer would for long be remembered for promoting teaching and raising the level of medical education in the College.
“It was in Dr Shah’s stewardship of GMC, Srinagar, that it gained a reputation for excellence. I know it on the basis of my personal knowledge that it was when Dr Shah was heading GMC that it was recognized by the Medical Council of India as one of the best medical colleges in northern India,” he said, adding Dr Shah’s passing away is a great loss to the State.
Soz has prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and conveyed his sympathies to Dr Girja Dhar, wife of late Dr Naseer.
