Hunger strike by Contractual Lecturers enters 240th day

JAMMU, OCT 11: The ongoing hunger strike by the agitating 10+2 Contractual Lecturers entered into 240th day today as there has been no response from the Government over the demand for their regularization.
While talking to media persons at the venue of hunger strike near Exhibition Ground, Arun Bakshi, president of the Contractual Lecturers Association, accused the State Government of being insensitive towards them. “Neither the previous Government did justice with us nor this present regime is listening to our grievance,” he rued and alleged that despite explaining their case repeatedly before the concerned authorities, only lip service was provided to them.
He appealed to the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to personally intervene into the matter and provide justice to them.
