Video-journalist booked for ‘misbehaving’ with traffic cops

Jammu: A video journalist has been booked for allegedly misbehaving and manhandling traffic men on duty in Bus Stand area.
“On a complaint lodged by one of the head constables of Traffic Police Jammu, a case has been registered against a video journalist for allegedly misbehaving and manhandling the cops on duty,” police here today said.
They said that the complainant have lodged that the self styled video journalist, who is posing himself as Bureau Head of a Web Portal being operated on the social media, on October 8, alongwith his reporter, manhandled the traffic cop and also attempted to snatch the challan book and challan money besides demanding money from the traffic police persons.
“He tried to tarnish the image of the traffic police in the eyes of the public by making the clips and circulating it on social media via his web portal,” alleged the complainant.
The accused, however, as per the complainant blamed the traffic cops of minting money and demanding bribe from the mini bus operators, which is a false and fabricated story.
Police said, “we have registered a case under section 353, 504 of RPC and started the investigations.”
