NDA fails to address crucial issues: Bhalla

GJ REPORT
JAMMU, OCT 8: NDA Govt failed to address most urgent issues of people, which it had promised to address, including policy paralysis, inflation, black money and corruption. The long-term agenda included reforming system – administrative, police and electoral – and bridging the rich-poor divide. The Government has succeeded in creating enough noise, right from demonetisation to anti-corruption drive – to project itself as a crusader against black money and corruption.
This was observed by senior Congress leader, Raman Bhalla while addressing a public gathering at Shiv Nagar Yogi Mohalla Kunjwani on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhalla expressed serious concern over spurt in cases of dengue in Jammu province, which has once again raised questions over awareness-levels on its prevention-spread by State Health Department. He said that doctors at Government Medical College (GMC) among all the district hospitals are regularly getting patients with high fever and other symptoms of dengue.
The Government failed to intensify measures to prevent spread of dengue by carrying out regular cleaning and fogging in the areas where from maximum number of patients with symptoms of the vector borne disease are reported. He called for strengthening treatment facilities at all major hospitals where the cases of dengue are being reported.
Former Minister further said that GST has proved as big failure due to lack of proper planning and home work before its implementation. He said that its implementation without preparation is creating more problems for everyone including businessmen and daily consumers of the country. He said that GST and demonetization destroyed business and industry, particularly local industry including industrialist and businessmen.
Congress leader said that BJP made tall claims and raised hollow slogans but after coming to power, it surrendered completely at the hands of PDP to enjoy power. No sincere initiative has been taken for redressing genuine demands by present dispensation of BJP and PDP. The Congress leader further said that failure of BJP- PDP Government in all aspects, especially deliverance and governance, as committed by both the parties during Assembly elections in the State, is a matter of serious concern for the people of the State.
