20-day training programme commences

LEH, OCT 4: Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council in association with Film & Television Institute of India, Pune (Skill India in Film & Television-SKIFT) organised a 20-day foundation course in Acting & Digital Cinematography, which commenced today.
Around 16 participants registered for the course. The training will help the participants to improve their learning skills. A combination of interactive lectures, practical exercises, viewing and analyzing films in conjunction with group work will be used throughout the course. Films, clips and videos will be screened to illustrate the point, and reference materials may be provided.
Speaking on the occasion, CEC Dr Sonam Dawa said, people of the region have lot of talent and have been making documentary and features films with their own efforts. To enhance their talent they need some sort of guidance, technical expertise and training to contribute more for the region as well as country. Participants should take interest to gather maximum knowledge about the particular subject during the 20 days of training, he said.

While interacting with Greater Jammu, Prof Sandeep Shahare, National Coordinator, SKIFT informed that FTII’s new outreach initiative SKIFT has been conducting short courses across the country in various fields like in Film Appreciation, Digital Cinematography, Screenplay Writing and Acting.
