Deputations of Ulema-e-Ahle Sunnat, Gurduwara Prabandhak Board meet CM

JAMMU, SEP 22: A deputation of members of Anjuman-i-Ulema-e-Ahle Sunnat, Jammu called on the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti here today.
The deputation demanded constitution of ‘Madrassa Board’ in the State, enhancement in honorarium of Imams and rationalization of course curriculum of Islamic Studies at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri.
Another deputation of J&K Gurduwara Prabandhak Board, led by T S Wazir also met the Chief Minister and thanked her for introducing Punjabi in schools. They further demanded posting of Punjabi teachers and streamlining of payment of relief in favour of border shelling victims.
A deputation of members of Kissan Union also met Mehbooba Mufti and demanded rationalization of compensation rates for their land being acquired for road construction in Bishnah, R S Pura and Marh areas.
The Chief Minister listened to the highlighted demands of deputationists and assured them for appropriate action.
