JAMMU, AUG 27: To check quality and speed of ongoing developmental works, the Vice Chairman JDA, Rajesh Kumar Shavan today inspected various ongoing projects in Jammu including construction of parks at Rajinder Nagar and Gole Gujral colony.
As per a handout issued today, the JDA is developing a modern park at Rajinder Nagar, at an estimated cost of Rs 33 lakh, equipped with turfing, sitting-benches, sheds, flower-beds and a number of aesthetic plants.
Accompanied by Superintending Engineer, Executive Engineer, AEE and other concerned officers, the VC JDA also interacted with locals during his visit to Rajinder Nagar, who apprised the Vice Chairman about their other demands pertaining to the colony. Shavan gave them a patient hearing and assured immediate necessary action for fulfilling their genuine demands.
The VC JDA also planted a sapling of Chinaar tree in the park, provided by Bishan Dass DFO, who has taken a personal initiative to provide some trees to JDA for plantation. The Vice Chairman further instructed the officials to map all vacant JDA lands around nallahs and khads, for plantation.
