AFS Jammu organizes Plantation drive

JAMMU, AUG 27: Apart from serving the nation with utmost pride and reigning Indian sky with supremacy, the Indian Air Force has always showed sensible steps towards conservation of the nature at many times. One of the recent examples has been set on 27th August, 2017 when all personnel of Air Force Station, Jammu were gathered to celebrate ‘Tree Plantation’ drive of the year, under the patronship of Air Commodore, Sashikant Mishra; Air Officer Commanding, AFS Jammu and all Air-warriors of Air Force Station, assembled to initiate the Tree Plantation Drive.
Minister for Forests, Choudhary Lal Singh was the Chief Guest on the occasion while Director of Social Forestry, Ashwini Gupta and Chief Conservator of Forest, Jammu region, Farooq Gilani were present on the occasion. Under the guidance of Group Captain Girish Hotchandani, Chief Administrative Officer and Coordinator Squadron Leader, Miti Sharma, the Tree Plantation drive was successfully completed with a great pomp and splendor.
