2 teachers arrested for promoting mass copying in Jammu, Rs 21,000 seized

Jammu, Aug 4: Police today arrested two persons for promoting mass copying while R 21,000 was recovered from their possession in Ranbir Singh Pura belt here.
“Acting on a tip off, police alongwith administrative officers this afternoon raided the Government Higher Secondary School for Boys, R S Pura and found students appearing in class 12th examination indulging in mass copying,” police here said.
They said that the teachers on duty were promoting the menace.
“Both of them were arrested on the spot while during checking, s 21,000 was also recovered from their possession,” police added.
Arrested teachers were identified as Yash Pal of R S Pura and Ravinder Kumar of village Jediyan Kallan, R S Pura.
A case under FIR number 170/2017 under sections 5/2 of Prevention of Unfair means of Examination Act and 120-B of RPC have been registered against them and investigation started, police said.
