Contractual Lecturers’ strike enters 163rd day

JAMMU, JUL 26: The chain hunger strike of 10+2 Contractual Lecturers demanding regularization of their services today entered into 163rd day.
Addressing media persons, Arun Bakshi, president of the Contractual Lecturers Forum, rued that they are continuously fighting for their genuine rights from past 163 days but nothing positive outcome seems to them coming at the hands of authorities despite of several meetings with many Ministers and even after the recent table meeting at Srinagar attended by Speaker, J&K Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta, MoS Education Priya Sethi and other concerned officials.
Bakshi warned that if their demand of regularization is not redressed at the earliest, they will further intensify their agitation to the extreme level and the Government will be solely responsible for any grave consequences.
Rakesh Khajuria, District president Rajouri said that hunger strike would continue.
Amrit Paul, Sanjay Kumar, Saroj Bala and Pooja Salathia were on hunger strike.
