JAMMU, JUL 23: Reposing faith in the Panthers Party, 53 youth led by Rahul Kumar and Tarsem Singh from various wards of Jammu city joined Panthers Party in the presence of Harsh Dev Singh, chairman JKNPP and other leaders at Party Headquarters today. Manju Singh, Gen. Secy JKNPP, Gagan Pratap Singh Spokesman NPP and Parshotam Parihar State Secy PTU were also present on the occasion.
While addressing the new entrants in the party, Harsh Dev Singh said that the issues and concerns of the nationalist people of the Jammu region had been left unaddressed who were feeling marginalized and suffocated under the sinister opportunist BJP-PDP alliance working for their own loaves and fishes. He regretted that heavily mandated BJP leaders have shamelessly jettisoned their party’s kernel ideology throwing all their solemn election time pledges to winds after ascendance to power merely to keep the opportunist alliance with PDP intact. He further divulged that Saffron Party not only endorsed the separate constitution of J&K but contemptuously discarded the demand for abrogation of Article 370, which had been its most coveted demand during the last seven decades.
Lambasting the BJP leaders for inflicting the most obnoxious dents upon the nationalist sentiment of the Dogras, Harsh Dev Singh said that BJP-PDP colluded to implement the modified Central GST which kept a provision for retention of Lakhanpur Toll Plaza so as to highlight the special status of J&K under Art 370. He said that several other obnoxious overtures of BJP in J&K included abandonment of Sainik Colony project in Kashmir in view of the Ex-servicemen symbolizing Indian nationalism, shelving of separate KP Township project in Kashmir on the dictates of separatists, re-naming of Hari Parbat as Kohi-e-maran, Bahu-Fort as Shahbad, introduction of Kashmiri language as a subject in Jammu Colleges, refusal to grant Dogra certificate, division of Jammu region into Pir-Panjal and Chenab Valley region as indicated in AOA, provision of huge security to separatists and anti-nationals, compensation to NOKs of stone pelters and militants, refusal to grant ex-gratia to soldiers martyred while fighting militancy in the state, refusal to evict Rohingyas and Bangladeshis illegally settled in Jammu, allocation of all 10,000 posts of SPOs sanctioned by Union Govt in favour of Kashmir besides utter discrimination against Jammu youth in the matter of appointments to Govt jobs especially by PSC/SSB.
He urged upon all sects of society especially the youth to support Panthers Party in the crusade against discrimination and to empower Jammu Pradesh.
Prominent among those who joined Panthers Party included Akshay Kumar, Ajay Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, Rahul Kumar, Chunnu Kumar, Sanjay Kumar and others.
