Patanjali among India’s top 10 ‘most influential’ brands: Survey

NEW DELHI, Jul 13: Spiritual guru Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali has been rated among the top 10 most influential brands in the country, a new study by global research firm Ipsos said. While search engine Google has been ranked at the No 1 slot, Microsoft and Facebook are at number two and three respectively.
Home grown brands, Patanjali and Jio have entered the top 10 ranking at fourth and ninth place respectively, the survey says.
Among the top 10 brands, Flipkart dropped three spots to take the tenth place while Amazon climbed a couple of steps to take the sixth place. Leading bank SBIBSE 0.42 % is the only financial brand in the top 10.
The study, which ranks the country’s top 20 Most Influential Brands for 2016, evaluates 100+ brands, a statement released by Ipsos said.
The brands are rated on quality, experience and value, and the objective of the study was to define and measure influence, Ipsos said. Brands in the 11-20 ranking include Snapdeal, Apple, Dettol, Cadbury and Amul. (Agencies)
