JAMMU, JUL 8: Daughter of the soil, Sangeet Kour Sandhu, who has been chosen as one of the finalists for ‘Haut Monde Mrs India Worldwide 2017 Season 7’, has sought the support of people of her hometown to ensure her victory.
Addressing a press conference here today, Sangeet Kour Sandhu said, “Being daughter of Jammu, I am very well connected to my roots. It is a proud moment for me that I have been chosen as a Finalist for Haut Monde Mrs India Worldwide 2017 Season 7. I am here to request all the people of my state to support me in this journey.”
‘Haut Monde Mrs India Worldwide’ has been organising this contest for last seven years. It is special platform as it not only includes participation from within the country but also targets all the Indian women across the globe. In the past, people have witnessed participation from South Africa, Australia, USA and Thailand.
“This year, the total registration number was 8000, out of which 1500 were called for auditions. Now, the final count has come up to 60 ladies – 57 contestants from India and 3 from overseas (London, Canada and UAE),” she informed.
Elaborating her journey towards this international title, Sangeet Kour said that she got married three and a half years back and has an eight-month old baby girl.
“I came across this pageant and my husband and family encouraged me to go ahead with it,” Sangeet said, adding she will be travelling to Vietnam for grooming and folio shoot on July 27 for the finale on August 5.
